In 1982, an American housewife, Angela Cavallo, lifted a car off her son, Tony, after it fell off the jacks that held it up while he worked underneath it. Mrs. Cavallo lifted the car high enough and long enough for two neighbours to replace the jacks and pull Tony from beneath the car. This story illustrates the 'Hysterical Strength' phenomenon. The human nervous system is in control of everything we do, acting and reacting to the tens of millions of bits of sensory information that flood in to our brains every second.
As we are built for survival the brains interpretation of threat and stress directly influences our potential. The pain we feel, the way we move, the quality of our life experience.
